The WOW Program benefits not only elementary school students but also Ohio State University students as well. For elementary school students, WOW helps them meet scientists (Affiliate volunteers) or budding scientists (OSU students) and closely interact with them – the affiliate volunteers and OSU students are role models to these students! The elementary school students get to learn about all areas of science through hands-on learning. Most of the time, the students are having so much fun they do not even realize they are learning science at the same time. So not only do they get an in-depth look at a certain scientific field, but they also get to meet a scientist/budding scientist, and have fun!
